Dr. Abeer Alkobaisi, the first female plastic surgeon in the GCC, has become a pioneering force in a traditionally male-dominated field. Her journey began at Arabian Gulf University in Bahrain, where her lifelong passion for medicine led her to surgery. During her rotations as an intern, she discovered a love for stitching and wound repair in the ER, impressing colleagues with her precision and patients with her gentle touch. Her talent soon became widely recognized for her clean and meticulous stitching, setting the foundation for her surgical career. She later pursued a residency in ENT, where her expertise in head and neck surgeries honed her skills even further. This experience deepened her passion for facial reconstruction and helping others feel whole again. Driven by this passion, she went on to specialize in plastic surgery in France, a country she adored. There, she trained alongside some of the most esteemed surgeons and professors in the field, learning advanced techniques and building an impressive foundation of knowledge. Today, Dr. Abeer stands as a distinguished figure in plastic surgery worldwide, celebrated for her expertise and dedication.
